If you are an Android phone user then there is good news for you. Now you are going to get freedom from useless apps with new Android phone. That is, the company will now be able to provide very few pre-installed apps in the phone. In fact, now the phone can be released in India under the new IMADA license instead of the Mobile Application Distribution Agreement (MADA). Under IMADA, it will no longer be mandatory to have things like search bar, Google apps folder etc. on the homescreen.

this change happened

Let us know that recently Google had announced several changes in its Android operating system and Google Play-Store billing for the Indian market.Google made these changes after the Competition Commission of India (CCI) fine. Now a leaked report is claiming that device makers may continue to market Android devices (phones and tablets etc.) in India under the global MADA (Mobile Application Distribution Agreement) license or opt for the new IMADA license.

According to the new rule, OEMs or in other words, mobile companies will have to take a license to pre-install Google's apps on their phones, while earlier Google's apps used to come pre-installed in Android phones. Apart from this, Indian Android mobile users will also be able to choose the default search engine on their phone or tablet. That is, Google's arbitrariness will no longer work in Android phones.

Under IMADA, it will no longer be mandatory to have things like search bar, Google apps folder etc. on the homescreen. Users will also be able to choose their default search engine while setting up the phone. Under a clause called 'Indian Placement Agreement' in IMADA, Google is reportedly setting a "per-app reward". That is, if an OEM chooses to include one of its apps, its icon may appear on the homescreen.

Indian Android mobile users can place the app of their choice on their phone or tablet. They will not get to see the pre-installed apps. Users can also choose the search engine of their choice. At present, the default search engine remains Google. Apart from this, there will also be an option of third party payment mode for app billing on Google Play Store.

Explain that CCI had imposed a fine of Rs 1,337 crore against Google for violating competition and CCI had asked Google not to force mobile companies to pre-install Google's apps in their phones. Apart from this, the CCI had also said that Google should also give Android users the facility to un-install Google's pre-installed app.
